Endurance is the bridge to reach your life destination. By that I mean engaging force of pursuits persistently and patiently. Start and don't stop!
But he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matt 10:22 (KJV
Everyone loves success but only few people actually attain it.
That is because, success is hard work and only few people are truly willing to give it all it takes. We do not attract success by desire or accident but by persistent efforts.
If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride. If turnips were swords, I'd have one at my side. If "ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, There'd be no work for tinkers' hands. Proverbs
Work and not mere wish determines what you actually become in life.
If you will reach your destination in life, you will not only need to work at pursuing it, you will need to endure your pursuits to the very end.
1. Pursuits
Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people. Proverbs 22:29 (NIV)
A goal not pursued is a mere wishful thinking.
Divine direction is the pathway to perfection in life. However, do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet. All the wisdom in the Bible and secrets of success in this world will not work for you if you don't.
Your work is a process of releasing your potential.
Works are meant to release the trees inside your seed.
Labour is the laboratory of success where negatives are developed to colourful pictures. The negative is like your potential while your future is a colourful future. To move from potential to perfection requires processing. Labour is another name for processing your potential.
A man skilled and diligent in his work will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.
2. Perseverance
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
Perseverance is the persistent pursuits of goals. Do not just start, keep pressing forward.
Persistence leads to prominence in the journey of life. Persistence says, "I wouldn’t give up till I get there.“ Follow-through on your journey regardless of any frustration you face. An oak tree was once a stubborn nut that refused to budge. Don’t just start, do not stop. Success is a result of continuous efforts. It has always been this way for every successful person in the history of the planet. Those who can withhold the storm are the ones who succeed. To embrace the problems in your journey, you have to be persistent. Persistency means, you have a firm stance and are resolute in your approach. If you need something, you have to be persistent. There is no other way out. Continuous efforts without missing any single chance would let you achieve your goals. However, here is the thing: If you want to keep the success and do not want to lose the moment, you need to be consistent in your work. Consistency means, doing something regularly. It means keep moving forward despite all the hurdles, external voices and problems one may face towards their goal. Success demands consistency and there is no other alternative to success other than the hard work.
3. Patience
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Jam. 1:4 (KJV.)
Patience is the quality of calmness, stability and persistent courage in the face of all odds. It is the persistent endurance of all odds while you pursue your goal to the end. Contrary to what many people think, patience is not inactive. Rather, patience is calmly waiting for results of your persistent labour. Most successful people encountered failures on their ways to success. They just chose not to give up. Keep it cool Most of the time, the absence of success does not imply failure. It might just be that the time is yet not right. Consistent productive efforts with patience are bound to yield their gain one day. After you have done all that is necessary, permit hastes not to rob you of what is surely forthcoming. Be patient at a period of great temptation, needs and anxiety.
Seek great partners around your pursuits
In addition to immediate family members, God has given us peers, career colleagues, business partners, church family and finally our spouses to accompany us in our journey of life. A wrong choice of partner could delay your journey or take you away from your destination.
Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble. Prov. 13:20 (NLT)
Choose carefully around you only those who support your dreams and stretch your ability. Gather round you those who aspire to reach the same destination like you lest you lose focus to reach the end.
